We are currently working with a London Market Insurer who are looking for a skilled Cyber Data & Catastrophe Analyst to join their cross-line unit of cyber insurance experts. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing the Group's cyber underwriting strategy, risk appetite, and accumulation control for both affirmative and non-affirmative coverages.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance the Group's cyber accumulation control framework
- Support scenario development and challenging existing scenarios
- Assist in identifying key data sources to inform risk scenarios
- Calculate PML figures for Group company portfolios
- Contribute to the development of data collection techniques, including textual analysis and machine learning
- Develop mathematical models for simulating losses against our portfolio
- Support external third-party model validation work
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in Cat Modelling/Exposure Management
- Master's degree or higher in Cyber Security or related field, and/or Cyber Insurance experience
- Formal Cyber Security training/qualifications/experience
- Expert in MS Excel
- Skilled user of R or Python
- Strong background in statistics and probability theory
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to a wide audience
