Cyber Data & Catastrophe Analyst

We are currently working with a London Market Insurer who are looking for a  skilled Cyber Data & Catastrophe Analyst to join their cross-line unit of cyber insurance experts. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing the Group's cyber underwriting strategy, risk appetite, and accumulation control for both affirmative and non-affirmative coverages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance the Group's cyber accumulation control framework
  • Support scenario development and challenging existing scenarios
  • Assist in identifying key data sources to inform risk scenarios
  • Calculate PML figures for Group company portfolios
  • Contribute to the development of data collection techniques, including textual analysis and machine learning
  • Develop mathematical models for simulating losses against our portfolio
  • Support external third-party model validation work

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in Cat Modelling/Exposure Management
  • Master's degree or higher in Cyber Security or related field, and/or Cyber Insurance experience
  • Formal Cyber Security training/qualifications/experience
  • Expert in MS Excel
  • Skilled user of R or Python
  • Strong background in statistics and probability theory
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to a wide audience
